Thank you for choosing Bayou South Driving Academy to assist in teaching and training your child to be a safe and courteous driver. With twenty years in the trucking industry, I personally understand the importance of teaching and instilling safe driving habits. Our goal at Bayou South Driving Academy is to maintain the highest quality of education and provide practical driving experience to all students. We thank you for your confidence in our driver’s education program as we assist in this milestone of your teenager’s life.
Bayou South Driving Academy will follow all state mandates in achieving objectives. We wish to make it clear that we do not expect, in the limited available time, to develop our students into thoroughly experienced drivers. Furthermore, we believe the purpose of driver’s education is not to obtain a driver’s license for the student, but rather to teach them the fundamentals of vehicle operation and to lay the foundation for a sound understanding of traffic situations. Our program uses carefully guided experiences and techniques that will teach students the skills needed to cope with any situation they may encounter. Students will be evaluated with written tests and driving skills evaluations. Bayou South Driving Academy encourages each parent to take an active role in ensuring that your child has completely mastered the skills of driving.
The classes are taught at Southland Christian Academy located at 7000 Gloryland Way, Denham Springs, La. Class times begin at 8:00 A.M. Each student will be given breaks and will need to bring a lunch. All students will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. NO student will be allowed to leave the class without their parent or guardian. ALL STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR THEIR SCHOOL UNIFORMS OR APPROPRIATE ATTIRE TO THIS DRIVER’S EDUCATION CLASS ( No mini skirts, short shorts or baggy pants). THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE. Thank you again for choosing Bayou South Driving Academy.
